Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. Who provides the service

CertSentry (certsentry.dev, the "Service") is operated by Stanisław Czajka (the "Operator", "we"). You can contact us at support@certsentry.dev. By creating an account you enter into an agreement with the Operator on these terms.

2. The service

CertSentry monitors SSL/TLS certificates, domain registrations, DNS records and uptime for hosts you configure, and sends you notifications. It is an early-warning aid: notifications depend on scheduled checks, third-party networks and third-party delivery (email, Slack, Telegram), so we cannot guarantee that every problem is detected or that every alert arrives on time. The Service does not replace your own operational monitoring obligations.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to use the Service. Keep your sign-in email account secure — anyone with access to it can access your CertSentry account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

4. Acceptable use

You may only monitor hosts that are publicly reachable and that you own, administer, or are authorised to monitor (for example, your clients' hosts under an agreement with them). You must not:

  • use the Service to probe, scan, overload or disrupt systems you are not authorised to monitor;
  • attempt to reach private or internal network ranges (these are blocked);
  • circumvent plan limits, rate limits or security measures;
  • resell access to the Service itself without our written consent (monitoring on behalf of your clients within your plan limits is fine);
  • use the Service in violation of applicable law.

5. Plans, billing and renewals

  • The Free plan is free indefinitely and requires no payment card. We may adjust its limits with reasonable notice.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel, upgrade or downgrade at any time in the billing portal. Cancellation and downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge.
  • If a plan's price changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. The new price applies from your next renewal after that period; if you do not agree, cancel before the renewal.
  • If a renewal payment fails and is not resolved, your account is moved to the Free plan and monitors exceeding its limits are paused.

6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, by emailing support@certsentry.dev with an unequivocal statement of withdrawal. Because the Service starts immediately upon purchase at your request, if you withdraw you will be charged a proportionate amount for the period already provided, and the remainder will be refunded.

7. Refunds

Beyond the statutory rights described above (and any statutory remedies for a service that does not conform with the contract), payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.

8. Availability and changes to the service

We aim for high availability but offer no uptime guarantee or SLA. We may modify the Service or its features over time; if we materially reduce functionality of a paid plan or discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable advance notice so you can export your data, and consumers may terminate and receive a pro-rata refund of any unused period.

9. Your data and intellectual property

The Service, including its software and branding, belongs to the Operator. The configuration and data you submit remain yours; you grant us the right to process them as needed to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time from the dashboard settings.

10. Disclaimer

For business users, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. If you are a consumer, this clause does not limit your statutory rights, including remedies under Polish consumer law for digital services that do not conform with the contract.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses resulting from missed or delayed alerts, undetected failures, or third-party delivery channels. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for damage caused intentionally or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law; for consumers, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by the mandatory law of their country of residence.

12. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account; this cancels any active subscription and permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to remedy the violation, except in cases of serious abuse. We may also terminate free accounts that have been inactive for over 12 months, with prior email notice.

13. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms for valid reasons (legal changes, new features, security, clarification). We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. If you do not accept the changes, you may terminate before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you additionally retain the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence. Disputes will be resolved by the competent common courts; for consumers, jurisdiction follows the general statutory rules. Consumers in Poland may also seek free assistance from municipal or district consumer ombudsmen or use out-of-court dispute resolution before the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). We are happy to resolve any issue amicably first — just email support@certsentry.dev.
